On May 18, 2020, Shad Gaspard, a 39-year-old former WWE wrestler, went missing while swimming with his 10-year-old son at Venice Beach in Los Angeles.
Two people discovered Gaspard's lifeless body along the Venice Beach shoreline at 1:25 am on May 20, 2020, between the Venice Beach pier and lifeguard headquarters, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
'The decedent was identified as Shad Gaspard and next of kin was notified,' said the Los Angeles Police Department in a statement.
Shad Gaspard's body was found two days after he went missing, sparking a massive search and rescue operation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Coast Guard.
