Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has returned to training after being arrested on suspicion of rape.

On Tuesday, Hudson-Odoi was one of several players to return to the club's Cobham base, where they underwent individual tests and small group training.

According to reports, Blues boss Frank Lampard gave the green light for the young winger to return to small group training, which included players such as Christian Pulisic, N'Golo Kante, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

It was the first time Hudson-Odoi had been seen publicly since his arrest in the early hours of Sunday morning, May 17.

He was arrested on suspicion of rape, with the Metropolitan Police confirming they and the London Ambulance Service had been called to 'a report of an unwell woman'.

A Met Police spokesman declared: "Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 03:53hrs on Sunday, 17 May to a report of an unwell woman. When emergency services attended, a woman reported that she was raped. She was taken to hospital. A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of rape. He was released from custody and bailed to return on a date in mid-June."

Chelsea have so far declined to comment on the matter.

On Monday, Hudson-Odoi posted a negative coronavirus test after being tested by medical staff, which allowed him to be involved in non-contact training.

The Premier League announced test results on Tuesday afternoon, with 748 staff and players across the top-flight tested, returning only six positive results from three clubs.

Players or club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate for a period of seven days.
