On May 20, 2020, Tottenham Hotspur launched an investigation into Ivory Coast defender Serge Aurier's actions during the UK's coronavirus lockdown.
Aurier, 27, posted an Instagram photo showing off his new haircut, which he obtained from barber Justin Carr, despite hairdressers being closed in Britain in line with government rules on social distancing.
"Yes Sir @justscuts #LeCoiffeurEstBon?? (the hairdresser is good)" Aurier wrote next to the picture.
Published on May 20, 2020, this incident marks Aurier's third breach of lockdown rules, following two previous incidents where he went out for a run with a friend and trained too close to Tottenham teammate Moussa Sissoko.
As a result, Aurier and Sissoko apologized and made a donation to the National Health Service.
Tottenham has been plagued by social-distancing issues, with manager Jose Mourinho forced to apologize after taking a training session in a north London park with Tanguy Ndombele.
