On May 20th, 2020, Kenya's Covid-19 cases surpassed the 1,000 mark after 66 new cases were reported on Wednesday, marking the highest number ever recorded since the first case on March 13th.

According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, Mombasa county recorded the highest number of new infections at 30, with all cases remaining stable.
