On May 20, 2020, gospel star Ben Cyco said goodbye to his baby sister Joy Wairuri in an emotional burial, bringing an end to her courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia.
Ben Cyco took to social media to express his gratitude to those who stood by his family during this difficult time, thanking them for their prayers, messages, and financial support.
"Thank you so much to everyone who has stood with my family during this season, from the church, to the industry, my incredible supporters, friends and family, corporates, asante sana," he wrote.
He also expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the prayers, messages, and financial support that made this journey easier for his family.
"For your prayers, your messages, and your financial support. This journey has been made easier by your support. God awabless," he added.
Ben Cyco also shared a poignant message as he laid his sister to rest on her birthday, writing, "Laying her to rest on her Birthday, she’s definitely celebrating because it is well #TillwemeetagainJoy."
