On Tuesday morning, the body of Elizabeth Keziah, a 36-year-old salonist from Kakamega, was found dumped at the Kakamega County General Hospital Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue.

According to her mother, Catherine Makungu, Elizabeth was in a violent relationship with a police officer who had warned her that he would kill her if she dared reunite with her estranged husband.

Elizabeth was last seen in public with her lover on Sunday, May 17, at around 6:30 pm. At 8:30 pm the same day, her lover, a police officer attached to Muranda post, took her to Nabongo Dispensary in Shinyalu constituency.

A staffer at the dispensary described Elizabeth's condition, saying, 'She was profusely bleeding from the back of her head and shoulders.'

Elizabeth's mother claims that the police officer and her estranged husband would often quarrel, and that the officer had threatened to kill her if she reunited with her husband.

Netizens have taken to social media to express their shock and condolences, with many asking what happened to Elizabeth.
