Published on May 19, 2020, Kenya's coronavirus tally has risen to 963 after 51 people tested positive in the last 24 hours.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced the new cases during a press briefing on Tuesday, stating that the number of recoveries had risen to 358 after 22 patients were discharged from hospitals.
According to the minister, Mombasa has the highest rate of Covid-19 deaths, recording 27 fatalities, followed by Nairobi with 20 deaths. Siaya, Bomet, and Kiambu counties have each reported one fatality.
