May 19, 2020 - Former Gor Mahia coach Hassan Oktay is the favourite to take over as head coach of Zimbabwe's Highlanders, a top club in the country.
According to media reports in Bulawayo, representatives of Highlanders have been in touch with Oktay, discussing the coaching role.
Oktay has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Englishman Mark Harrison, who recently quit the club.
"My representative has told me that Highlanders could be interested in my services and I will be interested too," Oktay told Zimbabwe's Daily News.
Highlanders last won the league title in 2008, and the 2020 season was set to start in March but was suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
