On May 18, 2020, Mombasa politician Salim Mohamed, popularly known as 'Tenge,' left his house to distribute relief food to vulnerable families. His family has not heard from him since.
His wife, Hafsa Swaleh, reported that six police officers visited their house on Tuesday, claiming to be searching for her husband. However, the family fears that the police may have been involved in his disappearance.
A human rights activist, Mathias Shipeta, visited the family to express sympathy and called on security agents to investigate the matter.
The family is worried about Salim Mohamed's safety and has expressed fears that he may have been abducted by the police.
