On May 19, 2020, a tragic love triangle turned deadly at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, where a 33-year-old aeronautical engineer, Edward Okello, lost his life.

According to reports filed at Buruburu Police Station, Okello was stabbed in the chest by his 29-year-old girlfriend, Vigilance Shigi, at his residence in Umoja II, Zone 8, plot number 5961.

Friends of the deceased had expressed concerns about Shigi's intentions, describing her as a 'slay queen' who was out to fleece Okello. The engineer had reportedly wanted to end the relationship before his untimely death.

Shigi, who was seen in a video on social media heavily intoxicated and attempting to explain the events, is currently facing charges for Okello's murder.
