The grant will fund Zimbabwe’s COVID-19 Response Project (CRP), which aims to strengthen the country’s health sector and benefit over 680,000 people.
According to an AfDB statement, the CRP will focus on 15 high-density urban suburbs in Harare, satellite townships, and targeted health facilities in other areas of the country.
The project will supply medical equipment and dig up boreholes to set up hand-washing stations, with the World Health Organization implementing the project through the Ministry of Health.
