Kenya's COVID-19 cases have reached 912 after 25 new cases were confirmed on May 18, 2020.
According to Health Chief Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman, the cases were detected from 1,139 samples analyzed in 24 hours.
Of the 25 cases, 23 were Kenyans and 2 were Somali nationals, with the youngest patient being 22 years old and the oldest 50 years old.
The cases were distributed across various counties, including Kajiado (6), Mombasa (5), Nairobi (3), Kwale (3), Taita Taveta and Garissa (2) cases each, and Meru (1) case.
Notably, six cases in Kajiado were picked from truck drivers who were tested at the Namanga border post, while five cases in Mombasa were traced to Likoni (4) and Nyali (1).
As of May 18, 2020, Kenya had tested a total of 44,851 samples for coronavirus and recorded 50 deaths and 336 recoveries.
