May 18, 2020 - The COVID-19 pandemic brought about a new normal, with many people turning their homes into offices and kitchens into canteens. As a result, cooking fatigue became a common symptom of isolation.

Uber Eats in Kenya recently released the most popular orders placed by locals during quarantine, offering a glimpse into the nation's eating habits during this challenging time.

At the top of the list was a classic combination: chips and a chicken and cheese sandwich. Other popular snacks included Chicken Dim Sum, Mahamri, and Goolab Jamun, which satisfied the sweet tooth of self-proclaimed dessert connoisseurs.

For those looking for healthier options, salads like Coleslaw and soups including Chinese Braised Beef Soup were popular choices. The Green Power smoothie, made with blended kale and apples, was also a favorite among the health-conscious.

Drinks like Coke and Minute Maid rounded off the perfect meal, while other notable orders included Roasted turkey and cheese sandwich, Java Dawa, Kachumbari, Cappuccino, Mineral and sparkling water, and Chocolate Doughnut.

What's more, every meal ordered with Uber Eats came with a complimentary side-dish of safety - contactless delivery from 07:00 AM to 05:45 PM, lessening personal interaction and keeping eaters, couriers, and the community safer.
