On May 16, 2020, the nation came together to bid farewell to Tecra Muigai, the beloved sister of Anerlisa Muigai, at her father's home in Naivasha.

The burial ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including Raila Odinga, his wife Ida, and son, Laikipia Governor Lee Kinyanjui, Moses Wetangula, and Senator James Orengo.

As the family received an outpouring of love and support from Kenyans, Anerlisa took to Instagram to express her gratitude.

"We deeply appreciate your expression of sympathy, your prayers and thoughts during the difficult time," she wrote.

Reflecting on the memories she shared with her sister, Anerlisa shared a poignant post, wishing she had let Tecra take more pictures of her.

"She took this picture and told me to post it but I told her it wasn’t Instagram standard, now it’s worth more than all posts I ever did. If I knew this was the last picture she would ever take of me, I would have let her take a million more," she wrote.
