Former State House employee Dennis Itumbi has made explosive claims about a potential deal between President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga.

According to Itumbi, the two leaders are set to enter an agreement that will see Raila control half of the government, with Kalonzo Musyoka bidding for key cabinet positions, including the Finance ministry, Foreign Affairs ministry, and one other unnamed top ministry.

Itumbi's claims come at a time when political analysts have predicted a coalition government between the former political nemesis, who buried the hatchet after the famous March 2018 handshake.

However, the claims have been met with skepticism, particularly from the Tangatanga faction, which has seen its members lose plum positions in the senate, including the majority leader seat.

As the political landscape continues to shift, one thing is clear: the stakes are high, and the players are positioning themselves for a potential coalition government.
