Published on May 17, 2020, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest has opened up about his passion for handcrafted British luxury vehicles, specifically the Bentley Continental Flying Spur.
According to Nyovest, his love affair with the Bentley began when he was just 12 years old. He recalled seeing a Bentley Continental Flying Spur driven by a black man in the suburbs, which sparked a desire in him to own one when he grew up.
Fast forward to 2015, when Nyovest turned 25, he finally fulfilled his childhood dream by purchasing a Bentley. In a motivational exchange with his fans, Nyovest explained that owning a Bentley was not just about the luxury and prestige, but also about inspiring others, particularly disadvantaged children, that their dreams can come true.
“First time I saw a Bentley I was 12/13 years old walking from my Hood to Rivera Park (TheBurbs). I saw this big whip approaching from afar. Didn't know the car but it just seemed expensive. A man called Ralf Mabe in a Green Flying Spur. Told myself I would drive the car one day!!” Nyovest stated.
Nyovest, who has become one of the richest rappers in South Africa, often cruises in his Bentley to remind himself that hard work pays off and to motivate others. He wrote, “One of the reasons I bought Bentleys is to remind myself why I work sooo work. When I'm driving, sitting in the back being driven, opening the garage or anytime I am using the cars, I just take a deep breath and say "God is Good" and hard work pays off!!!,”
He added, “I feel so great man. I saw a black man driving a Bentley when I was 12 and I was inspired. I drove my first Bentley at 25 and I know some kid is out there watching me, and believing in his dreams because he saw me live out mine. It's a great feeling man. I have done my part. God moves!
