On a day that was meant to be somber, Tecra Muigai's burial turned out to be a celebration of her life. Dubbed 'Celebration of a star', the private burial was attended by several leaders and dignitaries, including Raila Odinga and his wife Ida, Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui, Esther Passaris, Zipporah Kittony, and Oburu Odinga.

Published on May 17, 2020, the event was a testament to Tecra's impact on those who knew her. Her family, Tabitha and her husband, eulogized their daughter as a passionate and hardworking lady in a glowing tribute read by their friend Zipporah.

Tabitha Karanja's tribute to Tecra Muigai was particularly poignant, as she remembered her daughter's innovative spirit and leadership qualities. 'Positioned as innovative a strategy and innovation director at Keroche was earned. She wore her leadership hat easily and constantly and fearless pushed us by asking us why we couldn’t do more just like the global leading companies did,' she eulogized.

Anerlisa, Tecra's sister, also paid tribute to her, reflecting on the meaning of life and the lives of other phenomenal figures who left early. 'Your exit from the stage in your prime has forced me to reflect on the meaning of life and the lives of other phenomenal figures who left early, who like you, living their lives fully and with a burning urgency to accomplish a mission. Now it is clear to me why you kept pushing us to do it now and do it today,' she said.
