On Sunday, the Israeli Foreign Ministry confirmed the death of Du Wei, 57, China's ambassador to Israel, who was found dead in his home in Herzliya.
The police have launched an investigation into the incident, but the ministry did not provide further information.
Du Wei was appointed as envoy to Israel in February 2020.
