On May 17, 2020, Nominated Senator Mary Seneta faced criticism for skipping a Jubilee Party Senate meeting at State House in Nairobi.
However, in a statement to newsrooms, Seneta clarified that she was unwell and unable to attend the meeting.
She reaffirmed her loyalty to President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee Party, stating, “I am always ready to assist the party to deliver to the people of Kenya.”
Seneta is among five nominated senators facing possible expulsion from the party for their absence from the meeting.
