Crystal Asige's music career took off with the song 'Extravaganza', released under Sol Generation, a label affiliated with Sauti Sol. However, the relationship between Asige and the label has been marred by controversy.

According to Bien, a member of Sauti Sol, the separation from Asige was amicable, and they were glad to have given her a platform. However, Asige has a different story to tell.

In a recent interview, Asige revealed that she was asked to leave the group, and she did exactly that. 'Back in November, they told me that they wanted me to leave. They didn't want me to be in the group anymore, and so I left. That's literally the beginning and the end of the story,' she said.

Asige has since gone solo and is promoting her new song 'Safer'. The song is available on YouTube, and fans can check it out by clicking on the link below.
