On Saturday, May 16, 2020, Kenyans took to Twitter to express outrage and demand justice for the family of Chris Msando, a Kenyan election officer mysteriously murdered in 2017, just before the general elections.

Outspoken Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Kipchumna Sudi had claimed earlier that day that he knew the killers of Msando, sparking a wave of reactions from Twitter users.

Many called for Sudi's arrest, questioning why he had remained silent for almost three years and was only now revealing his claims. Others asked the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to pursue Sudi and force him to substantiate his claims.

"The 'prime suspects' in Chris murder are out here busy yapping how they know the killer….Oscar sudi, Kimani ngunjiri not forgetting Moses kuria and their Master William Ruto…Why did they remain silent for almost 3 years just to pop from nowhere with their secrets," a Twitter user wrote.

Others echoed similar sentiments, with some questioning Sudi's timing and insensitivity to Msando's family. "Oscar Sudi can be termed as a loose Canon and indeed a very insensitive person who speaks then thinks later. He says he will expose the killers of Msando! This is being insensitive to Msando’s family. Indeed if he knew the killers where has he been all this time!" Kennedy Butiko said.
