On May 16, 2020, the COVID-19 emergency fund received a significant boost with a Ksh. 50 million contribution from East African Breweries Limited (EABL). This donation brings the total amount in the fund to Ksh. 122 million.
The funds will be utilized by the Red Cross and UNICEF to support the government's efforts in combating the pandemic.
