On August 6, 2005, Betty Kyallo's life was forever changed when she was hit by a matatu in the CBD, leaving her with severe injuries, including a broken jaw, collarbone, and punctured lungs. She underwent eight corrective surgeries and spent two months in the hospital.
Despite the challenges she faced, Betty has emerged stronger and more resilient. In a heartfelt post, she shared her story, expressing gratitude for her life and the people who supported her during her darkest moments.
Her mother, Julia Ngii, was by her side throughout her recovery, offering emotional support and even considering donating part of her skin to help correct Betty's facial scars. Betty's friends, including her brother Brian Kyallo-Msafiri and sister Mercy Kyalo, also played a significant role in her recovery, lifting her spirits with their jokes and visits.
Today, Betty is a successful TV presenter and CEO of Flair by Betty, a lavish salon. She continues to pursue her dreams and inspire others with her strength and resilience.
