With a net worth that's reportedly in the millions, Bongo music star Diamond Platnumz has become a high-profile target for potential threats. As a result, the Tanzanian musician has invested heavily in his security detail, which includes armed watchmen guarding his mansion in Dar es Salaam.
According to Tanasha Donna, Diamond's Kenyan fiancée, the star's security needs are so stringent that he can't even spend weekends in Nairobi without a bodyguard in tow. In an interview with Kiss100.co.ke, Tanasha explained: "I spend most of my weekends in Diamond's house. I have tried to have him come to my apartment and it has been hard because he has to come with his entourage that includes security and the whole hullabaloo."
Adding to the evidence of Diamond's high-stakes security, fellow musician Harmonize, who is signed to Diamond's label WCB Records, recently shared a glimpse into the star's guarded compound in Dar es Salaam. In a video posted on his Instagram stories, Harmonize captured a photo of an armed watchman at the gate, holding an AK 47 gun and clad in a green Maasai shuka and bandana.
