On May 16, 2020, French authorities apprehended Felicien Kabuga, a fugitive wanted for his alleged role in the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
According to the French Justice Ministry, Kabuga was living under a false identity in a flat in Asnieres-Sur-Seine, near Paris, before his arrest at 0530 GMT on Saturday.
The 84-year-old suspect had been pursued by international justice for 25 years, the ministry stated.
