Mucheru Reappoints Edward Mwasi as Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board CEO

On May 16, 2020, ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru reappointed Edward Mwasi as the Chief Executive Officer of the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board for another three-year term.

Mr. Mwasi's first term as head of the government-run publishing house was set to end in early July.

Under his leadership, the Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board has undergone significant transformations, partnering with mainstream media to disseminate empowering content to citizens.

The organization has published several notable titles, including the Kenya Year Book, Kickoff – history of football in Kenya, Mzee Moi's funeral souvenir programme, Agro-Innovation, The Women Trailblazers in Kenya, and MyGov, the official government newspaper.

Future publications include a Moi's Cabinet Biography series, a book on food security, and one on Universal Health Coverage.

The Kenya Yearbook Editorial Board's flagship publication, The Yearbook 2019, breaks down President Uhuru Kenyatta's development agenda, highlighting the pillars that make up the agenda.
