On May 16, 2020, a mother's clever plan to multitask and keep an eye on her son while he did his homework backfired in the most hilarious way.

Laura Mazza had set up a FaceTime call so that if her son Luca had any questions while working independently, he could ask her. However, she quickly glanced at her phone to check on him and was surprised to see that he seemed to be listening intently.

Assuming the screen had frozen, Laura went upstairs to check on Luca, only to find him playing with one of his toys and singing. She initially thought he might have heard her say 'break time' and had run off to play.

However, upon closer inspection, Laura discovered a clever setup that left her in stitches. Luca had propped up his sister's iPad in front of his own iPad's camera lens, creating a fake picture of himself sitting at the desk, looking slightly amused.

But that was not all - there were multiple pictures of Luca with different expressions, all designed to make it look like he was listening to his mother. When confronted, Luca proudly declared that he had taken 'all his listening faces' and even quoted his dad, saying 'You gotta admit, I'm pretty clever.'

Laura found the whole ordeal hilarious, saying 'Scammed by a five-year-old.'
