On the eve of the coronavirus pandemic, America was already ailing. The widening gaps in income, wealth, and opportunity had left the nation vulnerable to the disease, undermining its defenses and weakening its response.
However, the devastation of the pandemic has created a chance to make things right. Through this initiative, we are exploring the fundamental questions of what the government owes its citizens, what corporations owe their employees, and what we all owe each other.
As we navigate this crisis, we have the opportunity to build a more just, more free, and less fragile America. The question is, will we seize it?
