Kenya's Covid-19 Infections Rise to 781 Amid Renewed Concerns

On May 15, 2020, Kenya's Covid-19 cases continued to rise, with 23 new infections reported overnight, bringing the total number of infections to 781.

According to Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman, the 23 patients were confirmed after a total of 2,100 people were tested in the last 24 hours.

Dr Aman also revealed that three more people have died due to complications from the Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, raising fatalities due to the virus to 45.

Of the new Covid-19 patients, 18 are male and six are female, with ages ranging from 24 to 85.

As the renewed 21-day cessation order expires on Friday, the government is set to announce more measures to contain the virus.
