Qatar Airways Offers 100,000 Free Tickets to Healthcare Workers

On May 15, 2020, Qatar Airways announced a generous offer to frontline medical professionals: 100,000 free, round-trip tickets to anywhere in the world.

The airline's gesture of appreciation is open to doctors, medical practitioners, nurses, paramedics, pharmacists, laboratory technicians, and clinical researchers from every country in the world.

According to Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker, each winner and their companion will be flown to their chosen holiday destination, visit family and friends, or explore a destination they have always dreamed of, with complimentary return flight tickets.

As a further gesture of appreciation, healthcare professionals will be offered an additional voucher with a 35 percent discount to redeem at Qatar Duty Free retail outlets at Hamad International Airport in Doha.

Qatar Airways has been running special pass operations to select destinations, allowing repatriates to fly home, with over 100 charter flights ferrying about one million people to various destinations across the world.
