On May 14, 2020, Isiolo Governor Dr. Mohamed Kuti emphasized the importance of integrity in public service during the swearing-in ceremony of two nominees to the Isiolo County Public Service Board.
Dr. Kuti called on public servants to maintain the highest standards of integrity while serving the public, stating that their actions have a direct impact on the lives of residents.
He also urged the board to expedite the ongoing recruitment of health workers to assist in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, offering his office's support to the board and other public servants in discharging their duties.
The two nominees to the Isiolo County Public Service Board are Mohammed Abdullahi (Secretary) and Abdi Godana (member).
Dr. Kuti refuted allegations that the board's secretary was recruited from a neighboring county, stating that all applicants were selected based on merit and prerequisite qualifications.
“The one who was picked met the requirements which included being a Certified Public Secretary (CPS) which other applicants lacked,” Dr. Kuti said.
