Crystal Asige, a talented musician, has finally spoken out about her departure from Sol Generation, a record label owned by Sauti Sol. The incident occurred in November 2019, just 10 months after the label's introduction to the Kenyan music scene.
Appearing on Chat Spot, Crystal Asige revealed that Sauti Sol had informed her that they no longer wanted to work with her in the group, prompting her to leave. Her statement comes after Sauti Sol's lead singer, Bien Aime Baraza, had previously disclosed that they were no longer working with her.
According to Crystal, Sauti Sol told her to leave the group in November 2019, stating,
‘It’s not a very long story, back in November (2019) they told me they wanted me to leave, they don’t want me to be in the group anymore so I left. That’s literally the beginning and the end of the story,’
revealed Crystal.
Crystal Asige's departure from Sol Generation was previously described as 'harmonious' by Bien Aime Baraza during a press briefing on their 5th studio album launch. However, Crystal's recent confession sheds new light on the circumstances surrounding her exit.
