On May 15, 2020, Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga expressed relief that she did not carry out her threat to circumcise Embakasi East lawmaker Babu Owino.
Omanga had previously threatened to circumcise Babu Owino over his open disrespect to Interior CS Fred Matiang'i, but she is now glad that she did not follow through with her plan.
She explained that at the time, she had grown sick of Babu's recklessness and arrogance towards the then-united Jubilee party and its leadership.
'I am relieved that I did not terminate Babu's outer organs just for the sake of my party officials who have now turned to monsters, it would have been such a shame,' Omanga narrated.
Omanga also confessed that she had been pushed to fight the young legislator for his vocality and that she regrets ever demeaning the person of Babu Owino.
She added that she regrets being used for egocentric gains and that it is only at this time that she gets a clear picture of everything.
Omanga's comments come as she faces scrutiny for deliberately snubbing the president's invitation at the statehouse, which may lead to her being elbowed out of the Senate.
