As the world grapples with the Covid-19 pandemic, Kenya is facing a unique challenge in keeping the virus out of its borders. According to a recent report, truck drivers have been identified as super spreaders of the virus.

Despite the challenges, cross-border trade remains a crucial aspect of the economies within the East African Community (EAC) bloc. The EAC bloc comprises six countries, including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and South Sudan.

On May 14, 2020, a video was published highlighting the efforts to keep business alive across the EAC bloc amid the pandemic. The video can be viewed here.
