Tanasha Donna's Land Cruiser: MC Pilipili Seeks Diamond Platnumz's Generosity ¶
MC Pilipili, a Tanzanian comic, is hoping to get his hands on Tanasha Donna's Toyota Land Cruiser, which was gifted by Diamond Platnumz to his estranged Kenyan fiancée in 2019.
The vehicle was unveiled at a 'Great Gatsby' themed party in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on July 7, 2019, and has since been at the center of controversy over its ownership.
MC Pilipili believes that Platnumz's generosity will lead him to walk away with the vehicle, which he considers his dream car, a V8-powered Japanese workhorse that would replace his current BMW.
Speaking to Ze Weekend, MC Pilipili said, 'Natembelea BMW lakini gari ya ndoto yangu ni V-8 kama ya Diamond ile (Anacheka), dah naipenda sana. Naomba basi Mondi anipe ile V-8 aliyompa Tanasha maana ndio dream car yangu kwa sababu Tanasha alisema hakuondoka nayo aliiacha hapa nchini. Hivyo Simba kaipaki tu, na najua Diamond hana roho mbaya, atanipa tu.'
However, Tanasha Donna had previously stated that she had no interest in the car and was comfortable cruising around with her own BMW, as she told True Love Magazine in April 2020, 'The car is in Tanzania; I had no interest in taking it. I have my car, my BMW. I am not going to leave a relationship, and say I am going to take this car, or I am taking this. I can get myself a car, I can get myself what I need.'
MC Pilipili's plea comes after singer Mbosso had to distance himself from the vehicle after rumors swirled that he had inherited it from his mentor, Diamond Platnumz.
Platnumz has since taken to Instagram to share a video of his parking lot, flaunting the car he gave to his ex on her 24th birthday, as well as his mother's and his other cars, and a sneak preview of his mansion.
