On May 14, 2020, the cause of death for Tecra Muigai, daughter of Keroche Breweries owners, was revealed in an autopsy conducted at Nairobi's Lee Funeral Home.
According to Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor, Tecra died from injuries sustained on the left side of her head, consistent with a fall down the stairs.
Tecra was staying with her boyfriend Omar Lali at a private house in Lamu when the incident occurred.
Following her death, Lali was arrested and is currently in police custody after a Lamu court allowed detectives to detain him for 21 days to complete investigations.
Tecra will be buried in Naivasha in a private family ceremony.
