On May 14, 2020, Telkom Kenya launched a groundbreaking telemedicine service in partnership with Valentis Health, a healthcare provider specializing in telemedicine.

The service, dubbed Dial Daktari, enables customers to access board-licensed doctors through their phones, providing a convenient and safe way to receive medical consultations.

As the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic, Dial Daktari offers a vital solution for patients who need to observe physical distancing and minimize the risk of person-to-person infection.

Customers can access the service by dialing a toll-free number and paying Sh450 via Telkom's mobile money wallet, T-Kash.

Additionally, the Valentis Health App allows patients to track their symptoms, communicate with doctors via text and video consultations, and receive personalized care.

According to Telkom's CEO, Mugo Kibati, technology will continue to play a crucial role in Kenyans' lives, enabling them to conduct their affairs virtually from the comfort of their homes.

"As a corporate citizen, we at Telkom have chosen to focus our corporate social interventions and partnerships on areas where our core service can have a direct and immediate impact, especially during this time," Kibati said.
