On May 14, 2020, Bayern Munich were reportedly close to agreeing a transfer fee for Germany winger Leroy Sane, according to German media.

Manchester City, Sane's current club, is demanding Sh5.4 billion (50 million euros) for the 24-year-old player, but Bayern Munich are offering around 10 million euros less.

As reported last week, Sane has already agreed a transfer to Bayern Munich on a five-year contract, but the clubs are still negotiating the transfer fee.

Bayern Munich have cut off talks with RB Leipzig's Germany striker Timo Werner, as they are nearing a deal with Sane.

Since joining Manchester City from Schalke in 2016 for reportedly around 50 million euros, Sane has won the Premier League title twice under Pep Guardiola.

However, he has not played for the first team since suffering a torn knee ligament in the Community Shield match against Liverpool last August.

Manchester City had initially wanted 125 million euros for Sane before his injury.
