On May 14, 2020, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Dr. Rashid Aman led the Al Khair foundation in distributing 5,000 face masks to Westlands Health Center in Nairobi.

Dr. Aman emphasized that the government has not profiled any community in the fight against COVID-19, contrary to claims suggesting otherwise.

He pointed out that it is mere coincidence that the two most affected areas, Eastleigh and old town in Mombasa, which were closed by the government, are predominantly of a particular faith.

Dr. Aman noted that 70 percent of patients in the country experience mild symptoms, and with strict adherence to set guidelines, the country can make significant progress in the fight against COVID-19.

He urged all Kenyans and partners to continue supporting the government's efforts in combating the pandemic.
