On May 13, 2020, Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli was the victim of a burglary at his north London home, where he was spending lockdown with his brother and their partners.
Two men broke into the house in the early hours of the morning, threatening and punching Alli before stealing items of jewelry, including watches.
Despite suffering minor facial injuries, Alli and his family members were not hospitalized. The Metropolitan Police were called to the scene at approximately 00:35 BST and are continuing to investigate the incident.
Dele Alli has handed over CCTV footage to the police, and Tottenham has offered its support to the midfielder and his family. The club has also encouraged anyone with information to come forward and assist the police with their investigation.
As reported by the Metropolitan Police, there have been no arrests yet, and enquiries into the circumstances of the burglary are ongoing.
It's worth noting that this is not the first time a Tottenham player has been a victim of a burglary. In March, the family of teammate Jan Vertonghen was robbed at knifepoint while he was away on Champions League duty.
