Dele Alli, the 24-year-old Tottenham midfielder, has spoken out about a harrowing experience after knife-carrying burglars broke into his London home on May 13, 2020.

According to reports, Alli was at home with his brother, their partners, and a close friend when two men broke in after midnight. An altercation ensued, and the burglars made off with jewellery.

Thankfully, Alli and the other occupants in the house were shaken but otherwise unharmed. Alli took to Twitter to express his gratitude for the support, saying, "Thank you for all the messages. Horrible experience but we’re all okay now. Appreciate the support."

Police were called to the scene at approximately 00:35hrs on May 13, 2020, and are still investigating the incident. No arrests have yet been made.

Despite the ordeal, Alli is due to start training with Spurs next week ahead of the Premier League's intended resumption next month.
