Deputy President William Ruto has been facing increasing pressure from President Uhuru Kenyatta, who has been sidelining him in the management of the country. The latest move by the Jubilee Party to expel five nominated senators, who are allies of the DP, has further cornered Ruto.
David Ndii, a former ally of Raila Odinga, has now advised Ruto to take drastic action to survive. In a tweet on May 13, 2020, Ndii wrote,
Murder his boss.
Ndii's advice has attracted widespread criticism, with some questioning his mental health.
Mutahi Ngunyi, a political analyst, responded to Ndii's tweet by saying,
David Ndii has ADVISED William Ruto to Murder his BOSS in order to SURVIVE. Before you ARREST him REMEMBER this: David Ndii has a CLINICAL RECORD of Mental Illness. And this EXPLAINS his NIHILISM and BIZZARE thinking, including SECESSION. The Boy is clinically SICK in the HEAD!
Ngunyi's comments have added fuel to the controversy surrounding Ndii's advice.
