Kenya has recorded a total of 40 Covid-19 related deaths, following the passing of four more patients in the last 24 hours.
According to Health CAS Dr Rashid Aman, three of the deaths were reported in Nairobi, while one occurred in Mombasa.
On a more positive note, 22 more people have been discharged from hospital after recovering from Covid-19, bringing the total recoveries in Kenya to 281.
Of the 22 new recoveries, 21 were Kenyans, while one was a Ugandan citizen.
Dr Aman also revealed that 22 new cases were confirmed out of 1,516 samples tested in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 737.
Published on May 13, 2020, the Health CAS warned against price hikes in areas where movement has been restricted, terming it immoral.
He also cautioned against harassment and extortion by youths hired under the national hygiene initiative, stating that it is unlawful to demand money from people within the neighbourhoods they are cleaning.
