Nairobi Metropolitan Service (NMS) has taken control of e-construction development application processing in Nairobi, Kenya. As of May 13, 2020, all applications will be submitted directly to NMS Director-General Mohammed Abdalla.

According to a notice published in a local newspaper, NMS will establish new committees for pre-technical and urban planning within the next seven days.

The previous Pre-Technical Committee was disbanded on Wednesday, May 13, 2020.

Applications processed through the e-construction development management system from March 18, 2020, to date are considered null and void, as stated in the notice.

The e-construction development management system was initially launched in 2011 by the City Council of Nairobi, in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
