Tanzania should join regional efforts to contain Covid-19, experts say, as the country struggles to cope with the pandemic.
The East African nation has been criticized for its handling of the outbreak, with many accusing the government of downplaying the severity of the crisis.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), Tanzania has reported over 500 cases of Covid-19, with 21 deaths.
However, the government has been accused of not taking adequate measures to contain the spread of the virus, including not enforcing social distancing measures and not providing adequate testing and contact tracing.
Experts say that Tanzania's failure to join regional efforts to contain Covid-19 is putting the entire region at risk.
