On May 13, 2020, Tanzanian singer Queen Darleen, sister to Diamond Platnumz, sparked pregnancy rumors after recently getting married to Tanzanian tycoon Isihaka Mtoro.
However, speaking to Wasafi TV, Darleen rubbished the rumors, stating,
"I am married and for me to be pregnant shouldn’t be a shocking thing."
She further clarified,
"I am not pregnant. Where is the pregnancy? there are things that are good to be said but are also not supposed to be said. But when the time comes, I will let everyone know. And if I am pregnant, they will see"
and
"I cannot hold my music just because I am pregnant. Pregnancy is not a disease"
Darleen, who got married in a private Muslim wedding, later organized a celebration for those who weren’t able to attend the wedding.
