On May 13, 2020, Kipchumba Murkomen, the former Majority Leader in the Senate, delivered a keynote speech in Parliament, where he absolved himself from blame and castigated the Executive.
Murkomen emphasized that his role as Majority Leader was enshrined in the Constitution and was meant to provide checks and balances on the Executive arm of Government.
He also took to Twitter, sending a barrage of tweets on his official page, where he called his detractors 'hyenas'.
Despite the criticism, Murkomen remained defiant, stating that he would return to Parliament with a bang and leave his woes and detractors to be dealt with by God.
