Capital FM presenter Joey Muthengi has made a triumphant return to Instagram, barely days after her original account was hacked and taken over by an unknown individual.
According to her brother, Holy Dave Muthengi, Joey's account had been experiencing a strange phenomenon where she would lose nearly 1,000 followers every 24 hours for the past three weeks.
Joey, who had initially sent messages to her fans and followers warning them of the hacking incident, has now thanked them for their unwavering support and loyalty.
Speaking to Nairobi News on phone, Holy Dave Muthengi revealed that Joey had decided to give up on her original account, swearing that she would never pay for something that was rightfully hers.
Joey's new Instagram account, joey_muthengi, currently has at least 2.2k followers from her initial close to 1 million followers.
Excited fans and followers welcomed her back, promising her they would not tire until they bring back her followers.
Joey expressed her gratitude to her die-hard fans who had been left in the dark about where to find their radio girl, but still came through when she needed them most.
She also wished her hackers well, but cursed them for their actions.
Joey's Instagram comeback has been met with excitement and support from her fans, who are eager to see her regain her lost followers.
