Published on May 12, 2020, a report has emerged claiming that Diamond Platnumz uses the help of witch doctors to thrive in his career.
Several Tanzanian artists have been accused of the same practice, and Diamond's manager, Babu Tale, has not denied the claims.
The Wasafi Festival, held in Dar Es Salaam in November last year, featured international artistes like WizKid and Tiwa Savage.
Babu Tale revealed that they sought the help of witch doctors to prevent rain on the festival's Saturday, which turned out to be a successful event.
When asked about their decision, Tale stated, 'We are trying to call witch doctors to stop rain on Saturday. If you see anyone going to witchdoctors, they have really overthought. They have failed to see that their prayers to God will help them.'
When questioned about whether WCB crew has been used to seeking witchdoctors for help, Tale replied, 'It's normal. I'm African.'
Tale also attributed Diamond's success to his willingness to take risks in business, stating, 'Diamond is daring. He is a risk-taker. He invests a lot of money in his projects without fear cause there is no business without investment.'
