On May 12, 2020, singer Esther Akothee, popularly known as Akothee, shared a heartbreaking post on her social media platform, revealing the tragic death of her adopted son from Turukana.
The young boy had been under Akothee's care since his mother's passing, and she had been in the process of adopting him and his sister before the unfortunate incident.
According to Akothee, the boy was beaten to death by drunkards, with his leg and arm broken before he succumbed to his injuries.
Akothee expressed her grief and frustration, stating that she had been searching for the boy since schools closed, hoping to send him food, but received the devastating news instead.
Her post also revealed that she is having a tough week, as her daughter Fancy Makadia was rushed to the Emergency room in France on Monday, and her father has been admitted to the hospital, although the reason is not specified.
Akothee appealed for prayers and support during this difficult time.
